Welcome to the Golden Eagles of America Forum

We hope to have the Golden Eagles of America Forum be a place where some of the greatest work for humanity will take place.  We will also be coming out with the Golden Eagles of America Symposium to where it is designed for Master Mind groups talk about resolving social, financial, humanitarian, political, communicable, and personal issues so our nation can endure the tough times ahead.

We are hope that there will be many concerned citizens that want to make our nation a nation that responds to the needs of others. We hope to form lasting relationships with our Symposium forum.

My wife and I are working on a community project that we need to have help in organizing this massive project. The Community Carousel is a place where resources are shared with people that are needing help. It is also a place for teaching the public how to be self-reliant. The classes offered in the establishment will have classes on:

  • food growing hydroponics
  • spinning and weaving to make your own clothing
  • how to videos and instruction for creating your own power off the grid, how to build a home-made 40′ greenhouse
  • training center for youth speakers and youth involvement with community projects
  • ways to build up a community so the community can thrive while going through economic down-turns
  • establishing and maintaining civilian emergency relief stations
  • how to deal with disasters
  • how to be prepared for disasters

We hope to inspire the public to work towards peaceful solutions while working towards edifying communities nationwide. We hope to have our work be inspiring to anyone that wants to make America a stronger and more purposeful nation. We hope you will get involved with our vision team so your ideas can be heard by others.

You may write on the wall here at the Forum and so others can bounce ideas off from yours. Individually or collectively our mission will be accomplished and we will once again establish America back to the people. America The Beautiful, The Light In The Darkness for nations that suffer tyranny and human rights issues.

pH is Vital for Whole Body Health

pH-inding the Right Balance
At the first mention of acidity and alkalinity, eyes glaze over. After all, these terms sound somewhat scientific, and vague memories of junior high science class and litmus paper changing color may come to mind. However, the balance between acidity and alkalinity, and its importance, can be explained quite simply and should be explained. This balance is essential to good health.

The Basics

Every solution is either acidic or alkaline. (Alkaline is often called “base.”) These solutions can be anything from body fluids, such as stomach acid and blood, to beverages, such as wine or coffee, to sea water. Acidity and alkalinity are measured in pH (potential of hydrogen). The pH scale goes from 0 to 14, with 0 the most acidic, and 14 the most alkaline. The pH of stomach acid is 1, wine is 3.5, water is 7 (neutral), venous blood is 7.35, arterial blood is 7.4, sea water is 8.5, and baking soda is 12. Ideally, our pH should stay on the alkaline side: between 7.35 and 7.45.Keeping our acidity and alkalinity balanced means regulating the hydrogen ion concentration in our body fluids. An acid is a molecule or ion (an ion is an atom that carries a positive or negative electric charge) that can contribute a hydrogen ion to a solution. An alkalizing substance is one that contains a molecule or ion that combines with hydrogen ions to remove them from a solution_it neutralizes acids and acts as a buffer.

The Misconceptions

Foods are classified as acid-forming or alkalizing depending on the effect they have on the body. An acid-forming food contributes hydrogen ions to the body, making it more acidic. An alkalizing food removes hydrogen ions from the body, making it more alkaline. It is important to note that this classification is based on the effect foods have on the body after digestion, not on their own intrinsic acidity or alkalinity (or how they taste to us). A common misconception is that if a food tastes acidic, it has an acid-forming effect on the body. This is not necessarily true. Very often, an acidic-tasting food is alkalizing. Citric fruits are a good example. People say that lemons, for example, are “too acidic”; however, they are actually alkalizing because the minerals they leave behind after digestion help remove hydrogen ions, decreasing the acidity of the body. (Many people use the term “residue” or “ash” to explain the effect of a food on the body. A food with an acid ash after digestion contributes hydrogen ions, making the body more acidic; a food with an alkaline ash after digestion removes hydrogen ions, making the body more alkaline.)Another misconception is that acid-forming foods are “bad.” This is not correct; acidity and alkalinity are opposites and one is not intrinsically better than the other. This misconception has developed because the North American diet is excessively acidic, which does result in health problems.

Common acid-forming foods include processed junk foods and those that are high in animal protein. Some common alkalizing foods are spinach, soybeans, raisins, carrots, and most citrus fruits.

The Problem

Looking at this short list of acid-forming and alkalizing foods, you can see where the problem lies. North Americans eat considerably more acid-forming foods than alkalizing foods. Unfortunately, too much acid can cause health problems. According to well-known naturopath Paavo Airola in his book “How to Get Well”, Acidosis, or over-acidity in the body tissues, is one of the basic causes of diseases, especially the arthritic and rheumatic diseases.”Others concur with Airola. Speaking of the acidity of a high-fat, high-sugar diet, Michael Colgan, in The New Nutrition, says, “Acidosis destroys bones, because the body has to steal alkalizing minerals from them, to keep the blood pH from dropping into the acid range _ ” Dr. Mary Ruth Swope, in Green Leaves of Barley, comments, “We have become too full of acid and, as a result, are experiencing a wide range of diseases that flourish in the acid medium.” Dr. Yoshihide Hagiwara, in Green Barley Essence, mentions that, “Should this balance [acid and alkaline] be upset, the cell metabolism suffers, leading to conditions such as fatigue.”

Common symptoms of an unbalanced pH include heartburn (a burning sensation in the stomach and acid-tasting burps), bloating, belching, and feeling full after eating small amounts of food. Other symptoms could include insomnia, water retention, migraines, constipation with diarrhea, fatigue, a burning sensation on the tongue and in the mouth, and halitosis.

The Solution

Eat a diet that helps your body maintain the correct acidity-alkalinity balance. According to Airola, the ideal diet should have a natural ratio of four parts alkaline to one part acid. Others contend that while this a good ratio for active people (exercise creates a lot of acid), less active people can handle a diet with a ratio of two parts alkaline to one part acid.

ACID-FORMING & ALKALINE-FORMING FOODS

It must be noted that because a food is acid it is no indication that it REMAINS acid in the body.  It can turn alkaline.  Honey and raw sugars produce alkaline ash, but because of a high concentrate of sugar become acid-formers. Those fruits marked with an * should not be eaten with other foods.  They are acid externally but alkaline internally.

A list of Acid / Alkaline Forming Foods
Your body pH affects everything…
Balancing the pH is a major step toward well-being and greater health.
The pH scale is from   0 – 14

0 1 2  3  4  5  6  7 healthy 8 9 10 11 12 13 14

Human blood pH should be slightly alkaline ( 7.35 – 7.45 ).  Below or above this range means symptoms and disease.  A pH of 7.0 is neutral.  A pH below 7.0 is acidic.  A pH above 7.0 is alkaline.

An acidic pH can occur from, an acid forming diet, emotional stress, toxic overload, and/or immune reactions or any process that deprives the cells of oxygen and other nutrients.  The body will try to compensate for acidic pH by using alkaline minerals.  If the diet does not contain enough minerals to compensate, a build up of acids in the cells will occur.

An acidic balance will:  decrease the body’s ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients, decrease the energy production in the cells, decrease it’s ability to repair damaged cells, decrease it’s ability to detoxify heavy metals, make tumor cells thrive, and make it more susceptible to fatigue and illness.  A blood pH of 6.9, which is only slightly acidic, can induce coma and death.

The reason acidosis is more common in our society is mostly due to the typical American diet, which is far too high in acid producing animal products like meat, eggs and dairy, and far too low in alkaline producing foods like fresh vegetables.  Additionally, we eat acid producing processed foods like white flour and sugar and drink acid producing beverages like coffee and soft drinks.  We use too many drugs, which are acid forming; and we use artificial chemical sweetners like NutraSweet, Spoonful, Sweet ‘N Low, Equal, orAspartame, which are poison and extremely acid forming.  One of the best things we can do to correct an overly acid body is to clean up the diet and lifestyle.

To maintain health, the diet should consist of 60% alkaline forming foods and 40% acid forming foods.  To restore health, the diet should consist of 80% alkaline forming foods and 20% acid forming foods.

Generally, alkaline forming foods include: most fruits, green vegetables, peas, beans, lentils, spices, herbs and seasonings, and seeds and nuts.

Generally, acid forming foods include: meat, fish, poultry, eggs, grains, and legumes.

Shifting Your pH Toward Alkaline…

This chart is for those trying to “adjust” their body pH.  The pH scale is from 0 to 14, with numbers below 7 acidic ( low on oxygen ) and numbers above 7 alkaline.  An acidic body is a sickness magnet.  What you eat and drink will impact where your body’s pH level falls.  Balance is Key !!!

This chart is intended only as a general guide to alkalizing and acidifying foods.

Although it might seem that citrus fruits would have an acidifying effect on the body, the citric acid they contain actually has an alkalinizing effect in the system.

Note that a food’s acid or alkaline forming tendency in the body has nothing to do with the actual pH of the food itself. For example, lemons are very acidic, however the end products they produce after digestion and assimilation are very alkaline so, lemons are alkaline forming in the body. Likewise, meat will test alkaline before digestion, but it leaves very acidic residue in the body so, like nearly all animal products, meat is very acid forming.

Women Of Integrity

First I would like to say this blog posting is very important to me because of what I have learned about myself  these past few years.  There are things I have done in my past that I am not proud of, and just like all of us~ we do make mistakes.

I am writing this posting because I feel that I need to share with women what men have told me, and that women need to know about men. It is easier for me to be closer to men not only because I have three brothers and two sons, but mostly because I am sympathetic towards men. Men have told me about how women have treated them, even though I was out of the loop and did not date for many years.  My gosh I married my ex-husband twice which gave me good experience in dealing with my own personal mistakes of the past.

It is almost like we are taking revenge out on men because we had a problem with respecting men first, just like the olden days when men and women knew their roles and they respected each other. Maybe we need to take responsibility for a lot of the attitudes towards sex. This means how we use sex or sexiness to our advantage. There is also using sex to our disadvantage when some women love to play the victim role.

We can not expect men to change when we are not willing to change ourselves. To truly be a  “  Woman of Integrity  “ we first need to take responsibility for our own actions in how we have treated men. Then we should ask for forgiveness so we do not carry our baggage into a new sprouting relationship.

The baggage I had to get rid of was on my body. I needed to lose weight because I was hiding from men in my own fat suit. I needed to learn how to love myself and I am still working at getting rid of the fears. I did not think much of myself because my self-esteem was low because of a past of sexual abuse.

My husband makes me feel pretty especially when he surprises me with flowers. It helps with him being an ex barber and cosmetologist for twenty years. He dolled me up and made me feel worthy of love and I appreciate him all the more for it.

I was the fat kid growing up that people made fun of and so consequently I did not think I was pretty, nor worthy of love. It seems like all of us have our own cross to bear. I do not know of many families that are functional in that all of us have some dysfunction in ourselves that involves promiscuity, greed, and pride of which we have to overcome this kind of generational dysfunction.

We as women that want to be respected, need to be more modest and be examples to young girls by being women of virtue. We also need to be gracious and patient with our men because of how the job market is and they are probably doing the best they can considering that it is easier for women over men to get a job now. Men need to feel appreciated and acknowledged for all of what they do for us. This is time for us to step up to be the caregivers of our husbands as well as our families. It is the time to let your nurturing fly baby!

I have heard my husband say this before that women are like butterflies in that they pollinate people with love while they fly from one person to the next giving their love. It is a good thing that men have women because they would destroy each other eventually! Kinda funny how much of a part we play in their lives huh?

Another thing is that we think we know what men are thinking. We think all they want is sex, beer and football. That is what they enjoy sure. So you really think they like high maintenance, sleazy, easy Cover Girl women? After awhile men get tired of being around such shallow selfish high maintenance women with low standards.

They want a woman that can multi-tasks and that we can be the ALL WRAPPED INTO ONE WOMAN. them and for them. Men want women to show them love, respect, and be the nurturing salve when he has been hurt by the world.  They really want to be with a woman that is like their mother with our ability to nurture and also they want us to be women of character and grace.

They want a woman that can multi-tasks and that we can be the ALL WRAPPED INTO ONE woman to them and for them. Men want women to be shown love, respect, and be the nurturers to them.  They want their women to be of good character and be virtuous and not sleazy or easy.  When we are in tune with our power as the nest nurturers, we can be strong minded and ready to go to battle with our man.

A virtuous woman is a woman of integrity. Men want their woman to stand by them through think and thin and for sickness or in health, so they can work together as a couple to deal with any kind of situation in life that comes our way.

I decided that I had had enough of my messed up life, and that I needed to become the kind of person that I would think my future husband would want me to be to him.

In my heart’s heart I knew that I wanted the kind of man that follows God and what his God teaches him before I will follow him. People can be mislead and deceived and so it is important for men to have a good relationship with God. I knew that I wanted to be compatible with him spiritually and then all the other things would fall into place naturally.

We as women have seen times of unrighteous dominion such as spousal abuse from our men, but we need to have our love for them be being strong enough to stand up to him quietly and respectfully when they are in the wrong just so he does not embarrass himself in front of others ! We do this with love and respect by not belittling him, which only leads to contention. Perfect love cast out out all fear and we can have God help our marriages and all of our relationships with people.

A woman of integrity knows she needs her Heavenly Father to help her to be the best wife she can be. So pray often!!! We are far from perfect so never ever think you are perfect and be thought of as condescending to men, we fall way short and will make mistakes and so will our mates. Furthermore, a woman of integrity forgives always and she forgives instantly.

We have a calming gift and we have been given another gift to our men, and that is who we have become today and how powerful we will be tomorrow when we pray for guidance. Men like women that are confident but non- threatening to their manhood. God created you and I to be very very special. He made you so you can bear children and to nurture them to maturity, so they too can be happy.

We as women need to take extra precautions not to enable our children.  It is our nature for us to nurture and protect them because it is out of love that we do it. I feel it is time for me to tell on myself…

My son was burned really bad when he was only 6 years old. He was at the University of Utah burn center and was in there for 6 weeks. His out patient care was close to a year, and then yearly for about 5 more years. I was struggling with my current marriage as well because my twice married husband at the time was an alcoholic and was verbally abusive.

I flew with my son after he was stabilized in a Medi-Vac  helicopter to the airport just to board an airplane to the University Hospital’s Burn Center in Salt Lake City. I stayed in his room with him every night for a week and then I found out about the nearby Ronald McDonald House, which was a huge life saver.

My brother Steve drove my other son up to Salt Lake City a few weeks later so he could be with us. Steve also flew my mother up the next morning after the accident so she can be with me also. I had a huge amount of support. My brother Kent supported us financially so we could rent a car to get around the city. My son Keith went to school nearby for a month while we were going through all this.

The reason why I am telling my story is so you can understand how easy it would be for me to enable my son. He lost his fingers on his right hand and has many scars all over his body. He had to wear full body Jobst suit, which is a tight nylon rayon type of material to help with the scaring so it wont be as bad. They did a wonderful job taking care of my son and a wonderful job on his surgeries so he could look as normal as possible.

After we went back home and got back into life again. I divorced their dad because he just could not leave the alcohol alone and I felt like I needed to protect my children. So I was a single parent again and it was easier this way then having to deal with him also.

However, with out a man’s influence and so we have to become both mom and dad to them. We know our kids’ personality and we should know what is good for each one of them, we still seem to lean towards spoiling and sometimes ruining our sons by enabling them. I like many of you I had to work and I ran scared like many of you have probably experienced.

I did not do the right thing for my boys with their best interest at heart. I ended up doing the easiest thing because I was tired after working hard long hours and so I pretty much gave into them by giving them what they wanted.

I have learned by looking back at the mistakes I have made and so I know now that it is not good to enable your children whom we love so much. Both my children are adults now and my son Eddie is living away now and is doing remarkably well, thank you God!!!

I had a lot of help from my new husband  when my husband and two brothers came over to the house and we had  to kick him out for his own good, which has made Eddie grow up quickly. I am very proud of his progress.  He is still angry at me and my new husband and it has been a year now and I will give it another year and he will be thankful for what we did for him. He will understand that we had to let him spread his wings and fly so he can build self esteem himself. The boys’ father when he was drinking was not always nice to the boys either.

So a woman of Integrity is simply learning from our mistakes and we forgive ourselves and move on towards  making better choices.  I have made many mistakes and am trying to be ” A Woman With Integrity ” and I hope you will join me on a journey to become  ” Women of Integrity “ .

I will continue to write more blog postings and I hope you will share any comments or stories of something you see fitting to share with us.  I hope to hear from you soon!

What Is Bondage?

Since the beginning and man was created and since that time man has sinned, and so we can hope that we will take care of our stuff with man as well with God. Gabriel has been blowing his horn for us to be free and for us to get along with each other. We will need to forgive an old friend by giving an outpouring of love to them if the occasion fits the time.

A stone cold heart towards people is an indication that someone’s got some forgiving to do, it could be you or your past friend that needs to be forgiven. The non- forgiveness and pridefulness is what takes us captivates and puts us into bondage if we do not forgive one another. I believe that it creates mental illness when we do not forgive.

No matter how hard the pain is the more important it is to let it go. There are people that have been an example that all of us have heard from time to time. Perhaps it was a mother forgiving a drunk driver that killed her baby boy or baby girl, what about them as an example of what we should and could do for ourselves.

As for our time, it is important to forgive each other because when we get all clogged up inside we are not able to respond to hardship that is coming down the pike soon. We have to get our vessels clear so that we can be way showers to others that want to be set free. Many people will not be able to handle a global melt down. Food will be a very expensive commodity so it is wise to get your family food storage and medical emergency kit also.

Calamity and chaos will be world wide and so we need to learn peaceful solutions as well as communities world- wide taking part in the global effort to fight hunger and poverty, which is also a type of bondage. Even the United States of America will be tested and we will have our struggles as a nation trying to survive a threat against   Democracy and our inalienable rights to be FREE, and was given to us from God.

Anger and verbal abuse is likely a problem in their relationships, just like it was for me for a good portion of my life. I do not believe a man should ever hit a woman, because anger fuels many arguments, especially when there is alcohol and/or drugs involved.

Other types of emotional bondage is gluttony and never being satisfied with what has been given. Without gratitude we should never ask for anything more when we pray to our God. Do you agree that the door that opens to abundance is because of our gratitude for what we have been given.

Some of you may strongly disagree with me but one of the biggest decay in our social climate is that we are too sexually active before marriage. Perhaps we did not know each other well enough before we made that commitment in marriage, one would end up saying to their mate.

Nobody really wants to be in bondage because, we were meant to enjoy the fruits of life so that we can be fruitful in our endeavors by contributing something positive back into life. This is a good way to live freely! There is nobody that can get you out of bondage but you and your God.

Have you ever wondered how much of the world has fallen into chaos, murder, and violence? This is another kind of a bondage. That is FEAR, which actually is the greatest stumbling block for most of us who have not quite mastered ourselves when it comes to responding to fear. It causes inertia. Which inertia makes us paralyzed, so to speak, with fear and we can not do anything to face that fear.

The bottom line is that we have to stay clear and not fall into bondage. Forgiveness is as important as fighting the demon of fear, as gluttony is important as gratitude. We we all be vigilant and not fall into emotional bondage!

Men Of Integrity

Posted by admin on April 8, 2011 with No Comments
in Community Spirit, Faith and Spirituality

We will start by defining the word ” Integrity first. The virtuous character of a man with integrity is a man that is trusted by the community in which he lives. His actions of honest business dealings as well as the authentic kindness he demonstrates in his actions are what people look for in a leader.

A man of integrity keeps his word and people trust him in his word. Today’s leaders lack integrity mostly because they favor the ways of the world. He is a man of rare breed and has the ability to lead people just because he says what he wants to do and he does it. He is a great influence for people wanting to do right in the world.

Below is the definition of integrity that I hope you find to be interesting.

in·teg·ri·ty

Noun

1.

adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.

2.

the state of being whole, entire, or undiminished: to preserve the integrity of the empire.

3.

a sound, unimpaired, or perfect condition: the integrity of a ship’s hull.

Origin:
1400–50; late Middle English integrite  < Latin integritās. See integer, -ity
Synonyms:
1.  rectitude, probity, virtue. See honor.
Antonyms:
1.  dishonesty.
———————————————————————————————————————————————
There is a good reason why I have decided to write this blog posting. First I want to give you a little background of how my wife and I met. Neither my wife Janiel and I have believed that anyone would be able to find a suitable mate for each other from a social network.
I met Janiel on Tagged.com and at the time I had a website named The Men Of Integrity and she had People Helping People. I liked that she cared about helping people and that her group mirrored her heart about truly helping people. She has got many many many people in her group People Helping People. I asked her if she wanted to start a group called The Women Of Integrity.
Both of us built large groups in a short time because people wanted to follow someone that could be a light in a darkened world of schemes and scams, and were looking for good people that were honest and true. It is very common in the Internet Social Network arena that people are not who they say they are.
It all started when I was browsing through people’s profiles on Tagged, that I started to see some disgusting sleazy dressed women. Some of them displayed themselves in only a bra and panties. They were looking more and more trashy and not at all about looking sexy in a classy way. I started to also notice how many beautiful and sexy girls were on there and noticed that some women had the same picture but different names.
I started to wonder why there were beautiful women on there and wondered why they were single. Many of them said that they were bi-sexual, which is a turn off to a true man of integrity. Did these women get what their heart’s desire was, no I do not think so nor does my wife and many of you out there.
One day that I found out that my really good and trusted friend was not who I thought she was. She was hiding behind someone else’s photo and it most certainly was not her. I felt angry and deceived and from that point on something seemed to change my opinion of Internet relationships with people. This really upset me because I felt deceived by a woman that was a trusted online friend. I asked her why she did that to me and she told me that guys want to see beautiful sexy women and she said that she was not sexy enough for men. She told herself that a man would not be interested in her if he was to accept her for who she is.
She did manage to post her real photo up after I gave her such a hard time. Both of us learned a valuable lesson on self perception.
I realized that my friend was not alone and that there were hundreds if not thousands of women that was different than what they showed as their picture on their profiles. They were hiding behind a sexy beautiful image of woman they wanted to be. I talked to Janiel about it and I asked her, ” why is that that women have to hide who they are? ” Janiel was one of them that was hiding behind a tree because she was embarrassed about her weight and she did not want men to see that she was heavy. By the way my wife had a very large cyst in her abdominal area and she has lost a lot of weight since her surgery.
I thought that this is a perfect time to come out with The Men of Integrity and The Women of Integrity so that we could strengthen the men and women in our groups. It became sad after awhile because we both saw a lot of self esteem issues on both parts.
Janiel and I worked out a plan that I would be the only man in her group and she the only woman in my group, and the reason for this was that we would pass on what men and women are looking for in a mate as a means to communicate better. The first thing we had to do was to inform them that they are to be themselves and not take on an image to hide behind. We also told them to stop demeaning women by wanting a Playboy Bunny as a potential mate or as an online friend. It was time for people to get real with each other and stop hiding the truth about themselves. There was a lot of healing in the group which made it worthwhile to those that sought help.
This meant that we wanted to get them to communicate with what they really wanted in a relationship. What our main goal was to clean people up because of many of them had porn comments on their web pages. They thought  they had to have a sexual agenda in order to be accepted, when that was not what they really wanted when they were introduced to each other online.
There really needed to be ” Integrity “ instilled in them. Some were young and impressionable and others were older divorcees and thought they had to be overly sexy in order for them to be available. We did make a difference but the more we did the more people kept popping up and wanted to join the group.
We need more people that have integrity partly because we see our government leaders that do not stand by their word. When a person has integrity they do not compromise ethics, trust, and/or truth. ” They mean what they say and they say what they mean .”

True Integrity is when a person has moral values and they are confident in themselves enough to be transparent with people. This person has nothing to hide nor do they have a problem with being transparent to others. They know their character imperfections as well as they know if they are loved and admired by others or not. They are comfortable in their own skin and do not have to hide behind an image to be accepted.
Men of Integrity has to be men that want to re-instill values, by them being an example first. The development of Integrity is taking a stand on moral issues and are not easily moved from their character as a man of integrity. The word ” GENTLEMAN “ comes to mind when I compare a man of character and a man of integrity.
This means he is gentle in spirit and in mind because he respects the people especially women. A boy often times wants a wife like his mother if he has a good relationship with his mother. A girl wants her man to have the strength and love that her father represented while she was growing up. Of course she would have to have a good relationship with her father.
In closing we want to leave this message of hope to the men and the women who desire their mates to have integrity,   ” Be The Person You Know They Would Want You To Be “ and ” Be The Change You Want The World To Be .”
We hope you will want to share your stories or have comments that you would like share with our readers. Because of the power of the Internet we  broadcast all over the world, please use an interpreter to interpret in English.

Who Am I ?

Posted by admin on April 7, 2011 with No Comments
in Faith and Spirituality

Who am I to think I am insignificant and non affective to meet today’s demands of a changing world? Am I to think that I am just a nobody and my voice does not matter one way or another?

As you have seen there is a lot to be said with famous quotes and it has been important for me to post inspirational quotes as reminders, as well as them being used as a street signs to give us guidance for successful living.

Many people over the years have quoted Nelson Mandela. I have a lot of admiration for this man because what he has been through and what he represents to the world that suffers crimes against humanity. I urge anyone to study Nelson Mandela life’s story, it  is quite compelling and so it is that his quotes are more meaningful. The top quote is my favorite and this quote has been used the most out of any other quotes he has been known for.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us: it’s in everyone. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Nelson Mandela

Is there any better way of inspiring humanitarians with these comforting words of wisdom? I guess it takes a man that was falsely imprisoned to know this. We too are falsely imprisoned in the shell of a body that has its physical, mental, and intuitive aspects to who we think we are now, but there is the quest for man to know his Divine Nature that keeps him humble enough to continue on in his journey of his existence.

This means that we have to work at forgiveness so that we can be a clear vessel of understanding, not only to the Laws of the Universe which would be the Law of Relativity, but we have to try to understand the Spiritual Realm also. This realm or should I say the energy of love, enlightment, truth, and the vast space of the universe that fills in the gaps of the ALL and inclusive Intelligence of the Universe, and it is for our knowledge as well as a better understanding of our Creator. It is there for all who seek!

It is through the discovery process that we pray for understanding, insight, and the spirit of truth so that it will resonate itself within us, so that we carry the Spirit of Truth with us to share with others.

” Who Am I ” to say that I (we)  do not want to have insight into my (our) Divine Nature? The key to unlock the doors of abundance, happiness, wisdom, and mindfulness has to be discovered in each of us in our own time. It is through the quest of knowing about the Spiritual Realm that we find more unexpected answers to life’s mysteries.

We can pray for wisdom like Solomon did. I have and many other people have, because we know there is a universe of blessings and we know that it is there  for Man to seek his Divine Nature. The more we seek truth about our Divine Nature the more magnificent we become to God as well as being a powerful influence to inspire people to do good in the world.

I have written blog posts about this topic when I wrote the posting on the Get Smart Doors, The Love Bank Concept, and I will be writing more about the Laws of the Universe.

What would the world be like if the human race started to think more in terms of  the NEW CONSCIOUSNESS of thinking as well as a standard for man to live by.We would be able to communicate with each other much more effectively. Knowing that we are in the last days I, as well as many other people ,believe that we will be moving more to understanding of this kind of  “Intelligence ” as a means to know more about man’s purpose for life.

Through this journey to find Man’s  Divine Nature, we are able to receive revelation and instructions from God so we can endure the times of tribulation.

You see it keeps coming back to the knowing our Divine Nature, so it must be important enough for us to investigate the concepts of it, right? I guess it would be safe to say the gurus, prophets, seers, and revelators are the people that have of a gift for insight and understanding. This is not necessarily the truth because many people are waking up to this New Consciousness way of being and they are commonly, un-common people. It is a strange way to describe people but they were once common people like you and I until they discovered the power to connect with the Spiritual Realm and all of its fullness.

All of us should want to tap into this realm of understanding. It is God’s purpose in us know this realm, so we can have better communication with Him as well as all of our relationships with people in life. We can also be ” way-showers “ to peaceful living while chaos has taken people hostage to fear. It is the peaceful knowledge we have the truly helps us in all aspects of our lives.

It could be that we will sooner or later we are going to know our Divine Nature when we spend Eternity with a Glorified and Magnificent presence of ourselves as being ” ME.”

The deeper we go into a relationship with God and all that He has, is for us to be happy and content with living, especially in the last days of which these most certainly are the last days!

More Nelson Mandela quotes:

I am fundamentally an optimist. Whether that comes from nature or nurture, I cannot say. Part of being optimistic is keeping one’s head pointed toward the sun, one’s feet moving forward. There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was sorely tested, but I would not and could not give myself up to despair. That way lays defeat and death.”
Nelson Mandela (Long Walk to Freedom: Autobiography of Nelson Mandela)

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
Nelson Mandela
For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”
Nelson Mandela
“There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”
Nelson Mandela
“As I have said, the first thing is to be honest with yourself. You can never have an impact on society if you have not changed yourself… Great peacemakers are all people of integrity, of honesty, but humility.”

I Cried Out

I thought it would be a good time to share a little about myself. I have told my written my story in other websites that I have.

I was a cocaine addict for nearly seven years, and in that seven years time I did a lot of damage to my body as well as my psyche. It was a life of chaos and despair. I often times felt hopeless because I was homeless four  of those seven years.

The purpose of writing this blog post is so that I may relay the message of hope that I found and that it sustained me while I was making changes so that I could be addictive free.

Today I have become a protective animal over the happiness, self esteem, and self love that I have been blessed with since that one night. I have become protective of myself and my family, especially the love of my life- my wife Janiel. She has been quite an inspiration to me. Many people have had failed relationships and are waiting for the love of their life to appear. I was blessed when I married her and had to wait until I was  at the ripe age of 57 years old.

It just so happens that I found a mate that was almost homeless several times too, because she was a single mother of two boys. Raising two boys without an adequate income is real hardship, which has made her to be very compassionate to those who suffer.  She had two small boys at her side and had to take a job with below minimum wages because of the living arrangement she made to live where she worked.

My wife sacrificed her wishes for several years because she raised her sons mostly by herself. However, she made a mistake by marrying her ex-husband twice for the sake of their boy’s security, unfortunately he had an alcohol problem.

Today she is a strong and determined woman. It is a darn shame the lengths we have to go through to be humbled. There is a passage from Zen that I really like to recite to people. It says, ” The art of suffering discloses itself to whom has learned and understood the art of compassion”.

When we stand up for ourselves we were able to ingrain a healthy dialog of self esteem building, as well as the re-enforcement of self love.

MY STORY:

I had been struggling with being homeless while I  fought relapsing for nearly two years. I have seen friends die because of an overdose when they would shoot heroin mixed with cocaine ( speed ball ). It was a wake up call to me, and that I knew I had to stay straight or I too could end up dead like them.

My life was fragile because  I too almost ended up like them because I almost died twice from an overdose,  both times it was a mixture of  heroin and cocaine. One time some so called friends left me for dead in my apartment, but that did not give me the wake-up call until my deceased  friend Ron when he died.

One night I was with a girl and we were really high on cocaine and Jack Daniels whiskey. We were ready to have our magic moment of intimacy until I started feeling awful about how high. The feeling of the worst high I have ever experienced came over me. My body felt sick and I felt totally drained and I felt the impact of the bad high. I was so high that I became scared and fearful that I would die. I hated my high and the addiction madness. I had been plagued with the addiction for so long, that I had enough and it came to a head that night. I kicked the girl out of my apartment just so I could take it to Lord so that I could ask Him to  take my addiction from me as well as my fear. As soon as she left I got down on my knees and I sobbed uncontrollably  for nearly two hours.

I CRIED OUT…..Oh Father God please remove this terrible high from me now! I am tired Lord and I have no more energy to fight this addiction. Please Lord help me….Please Lord help me……Please Lord help me overcome this addiction and that I do not want to live like this anymore.

I said those words several times and I pleaded and I pleaded with uncontrolled sobbing. I had enough of the addiction madness. I did not like the person that I had become. I knew that I had to get rid of this addiction if I was going to live much longer. I had to find some sense of peace because of the paranoia  that I felt when I was always high on cocaine.

Things were got pretty crazy when I was on the street homeless. The streets can be pretty scary at times, in that I was robbed twice and beat up once.

The first time I went to rehab I relapsed my way right out of the rehab center. It was the second time going into rehab from a thirty–three day detox, that I was able to get more stable. I tried living in an apartment so that I can have a safe environment but failed a couple of times. A few times I did not have all of my rent and so I lost the apartments.

It was a tough lesson for me to be responsible. I had to learn that for me to be responsible I had to create and re-prioritize my life. That meant that I had to pay my bills first and if I re-prioritize my extra money so that I would not have the desire to use.

I remember when I stayed at the Rescue Mission. I was too scared to go outside because it was too easy to go out and use again. I stayed inside because my dealers were right down the street.

I had to have something to keep my mind occupied so I read the scriptures all day. I prayed for help constantly. One of the Pastors prayed with me often so that I could be healed of this awful addiction. I knew that I had to have Divine intervention. I remember the day I got addicted to cocaine. I felt an actual physical drainage from my soul that I felt drawn into a dark world. It was like an octopus reached out and threw me into a dark hole.

That “Special Night”  with Jesus changed my life forever when Jesus came into my life because I pleaded for Jesus to help me. When I was done sobbing I felt cuddled by Jesus and His love was warm and comforting. I felt Jesus’ arms wrap around me. I felt so loved and comforted in my sorrows and shame.

After the space of what seemed to be hours, I was finally resting my head on the Saviors chest and was filled with peace and love. Jesus found me broken and I knew that He was aware of everything that happened to me as a child, as well as the life style I was leading. I felt so much compassion and love from Him, especially when I told Jesus that I want to change and that I wanted a relationship with Him.

I asked Him please Jesus if you take this high from me and make me well, I will go back to church and I will know you better. I told Him that I would really try my best to keep His commandments. I knew that my life was messed up because I messed up! I knew that Jesus wanted to help me get my life in order and He would give me strength to conquer this awful addiction.

Oh yes, the Man who Loved Me and had saved me from myself became a friend to me.  To this day I do not have any desire to do cocaine let alone the life taking speed balls. He plucked that life draining addiction right out of me and replaced it with hope and love for Him as well as myself. I have been clean now for close to fourteen years now. I am married to a lovely woman that loves me and truly cares for my well being. That says a lot because of the years of brokenness I had.

By telling my story I hope to be a positive influence to you or anyone suffering grief, bitterness, and un-forgiveness and you to will be racked up with sin that could cause us to to be hopeless and it does not matter if you are an addict or not, it is still suffering.

The story I have is my story… What about your story? We would love to have you share your story with us so that we can help one another who suffer. We can understand each other more effectively! You can send an email to me at terrance@goldeneaglesofamerica.com so that we can help you through some issues.

I believe that there are not any new set of social sins such as rape, incest, mental and emotional abuse to children and seniors, alcoholism, death, crime, narcissism, and bitterness because it has become part of man’s culture. Perhaps we should share each other’s wisdom and knowledge to help our brothers and sisters along the pathway of life. May we empower each other by asking for wisdom and insight to life like Solomon did.

We can finally take the chains off and we be free through the wisdom and understanding to which it comes from above so we can know how we can help each other. We need to be able to understand the problem and ask God to show us the ways to fix the problem. Dr. Phil says it this way, We cannot change what we do not acknowledge “.

At times we can have epiphany moments when we experience clarity and insight into the problem. Understanding is key in most cases. Dr. Phil is also known for this statement, ” So how is your life working for you? “ It really is a good thing when we can take our life’s issues to the Lord and yes, he will take your weakness and make them into strengths so we can become strong and victorious.

I hope people will be inspired to help each other through the struggles of life and that we will pray more for others, so that they too will be able to have understanding to life’s problems and that we will get some kind of innocence back. Some problems are generational dysfunction and has come from our early childhood years. Some people are way showers and are seasoned with wisdom and knowledge in life because of what they have learned through hardships.

Why not share this wisdom with others? Why not learn how to resolve conflicts peacefully? If we learn it ourselves then we can teach by example. We can actually cause a ripple affect in the Universe that can reach all four corners of the earth. Humanity will get what it needs to exist in the hearts of man.

Can you just imagine world leaders coming together for peaceful solutions by coming together ” people to people “, instead of  “country to country “. World leaders have to denounce evil  and prosecute leaders for crimes against humanity.

Do you think it is possible to have peace throughout the world, it is possible when we are mindful of how we treat others and that we take responsibility for our actions?  There are times when war is necessary in order to have peace. All nations need to be accountable to each other and that nations can be part of the solution and not part of the problems.

We need to work through our own personal as well as our social problems before we can be considered the ” Light in Darkness ,when we have our own darkness within our American culture today. In America, we have more inmates housed in prisons than any other country. We were not born to be murders, rapists, pedophiles, or career criminals. We have become passive and desensitized to what sin is and have lost our way as far as humanity is concerned. We have become passive for reasons such as generational dysfunction that passes from one generation to the next, so we do not know any better. We cannot teach what we do not know. Oprah says it well when she said that, ” when we know better- we do better”.

May God bless us with the solutions so that we can all live in a more peaceful environment at home and abroad!

The Pathway To Freedom Through Forgiveness

There is a growing number of people that are feeling hopeless for America’s future. When we see the news that is broadcast of countries around the world that is experience regime change due to the violence and the will of their people, it makes one question how much of a future we have as the world changes right before our eyes.

Just reach back into your back pocket and pull out some hope! Now is a good time for restored hope my friends around the globe. We cannot allow ourselves to be pulled into the chaos because when we focus on events outside of our peaceful place within us, we find a sense of restored hope.

It is easy to get pulled into the drama of world events and the changes that are occurring are not very assuring to us. We have to find our own peace of mind.

So what are the best days coming? It is a wonderful time in history when we think of it. People around the world are crying out for regime change because they do not want to live in tyranny anymore. When you think about it we are redefining our future and that we have a wonderful opportunity to write our own destiny. Out of chaos comes order! Out of tyranny comes freedom! Out of despair comes creative solutions, of which is going on behind the scenes even though we do not see it. We just have to believe that it exists and will come forward in its own time.

We are moving forward to claiming our right to live in a world of peace, even though peace and violence are opposite to each other. Satan is moving ramped throughout the world, but God is in control and He is lining up His people to arm them with hope and peace. Please do not give up because the world needs us to stand firm against the evils of today.

Our God and your God will not allow satan to have his foothold in the hearts of man for too much longer. Despite the media reports we will be victorious and you have to believe that we are loved and cared for by our loving God. This means your God as who you understand him to be, will not allow his children to fail in their mortal experiences.

It is the character of the media to breed bad news as well as spreading panic to people all around the world. It gives them the power to influence large masses, but remember you can always turn off the news and put on a entertaining program to watch instead of the news.

Another point to consider is that we have to do our part to heal ourselves so that we are not in overwhelmed by today’s events. This means we need to break out a piece of paper and start writing names down for the people you know you should forgive.

In scripture it says that ” Perfect Love Casts Out Fear “. What does that mean to you? It is the perfect love that comes from our God that gives us the strength to forgive the hardest and most vile person that did us wrong. It is this perfect love that we cast out the bitterness needed for us to have peace of mind.

One day I got the idea to go onto my computer and I did list four pages of people that I needed to forgive. What I found was that some of the people I was at odds with did not matter much because it was me that put them into a box and nailed it shut. Some of the reasons why I did not want to forgive them was stupid simple things. Of course the more I got into my list of the harder people to forgive, brought tears to my eyes because it was difficult and I wanted to have peace more than I did to hold onto the bitterness.

Sure it is easy to forgive others, however it profited me more when I chose to forgive the people that injured me more and then and only then I was able to have the huge burdens come off from me and I was able to find peace. There is more freedom as well as growth when we forgive someone that is hard to forgive. I felt like I had done the best thing for myself when I did the hardest thing to forgive someone that really hurt me.

My dear friends I cannot express my gratitude enough for the courage it took me to forgive. It does not mean they are off the hook with what they did because they have to deal with their God on the matter. It set me free and it does not mean that they are free. It means when two of us are blinded by resentment then there is nobody that can see the light and the wisdom of forgiveness. It takes courage and it takes enough self love to not keep yourself in bondage over that person anymore. The courage needed is making the decision and acting on it as a resolute to set yourself free. As we rid ourselves of the burden of un-forgiveness and to fill the vacuum we need to bring in humor and light heartedness. It is fairly easy to do because we are joyous as we have found a sense of renewal.

I will not deny that we have a lot going on around the world and we need to know what is going on because it is likened to having oil in our lamps to be prepared. When we set ourselves free, we give way to a restored hope because we are now in a different mindset. We are better equipped to handle any crisis that comes down because we have purged the poison of resentment out from us.

Another point to be made is that there is an under-current of renewed consciousness that is moving in the hearts of man. We realize that old ways does not profit us and that we want out from underneath the burdens that seemed to set us back. It is the ” New Consciousness ” thinking that is bringing hope to many of us that are seeking peace and joy in our lives.

I do not know about you but I was tired of living without hope. Yes I had to go through the stages of grief and pain in order to find the pathway to a better future, just like you will in your own way. You see I have renewed hope that I am sharing with you and it is our duty to mankind to share this kind of wisdom and knowledge with each other. We are able to set the captives free through the love that we have found through this process of forgiveness and the earnest desires to be FREE.

I will continue to give man the benefit of the doubt that man will find the solutions to the complex problems of today and I hope you too will be with the many of people that seeks peace.

May God bless you in your journey for self discovery of the life we want to live!

God Is A Just God Part 2

Leveling out the playing field by redistributing wealth. Wealth is a gift that comes from God and the Universe by the power of attraction, and it is not to be praised by the workmanship of our hands, nor is it to be given to others as a reward for sin. The redistributing of wealth that President Obama wants to do is bad for our country and it does not build character nor does it inspire people to be entrepreneurs. If we do not respect the gift of wealth, wealth goes and plays with someone that respects the gift that is offered. It should not be considered an entitlement because we seem to think that we are a child of a loving and giving God and that we have entitlement to it.

It does not matter when we are on our death bed; wealth, whether we have it or not, does not matter to someone fighting for their life!

When the global economy collapses what are we going to turn to for satisfaction? We need to have an understanding in what we will do to stay cool when all of the world is in chaos and violence is ramped.

In this Part 2 of ” The First Shall Be Last and The Last Shall Be First “, we will need to look into God’s will for man so that man will be able to be prepared.

When we understand the providence of God towards man by looking at it in an Eternal prospective, we will be able to understand why some have abundance and others do not have much at all. We will be able to understand the term I have chosen for the title of this blog post.

Most people believe that there is a life after death of the mortal body. This means that there is some sort of place called Eternity and that we will live the rest of our days of existence in the Eternal World. Some people believe that before we came here on earth we made a choice to live life with suffering, sorrow, and poverty. It could be a question that is stated like this, either we can live a life of suffering and it will be considered to be a short duration because of the life span as mortals on earth or we chose to wait for our inheritance from God in reference to the blessings of life Eternal.

To some of you this maybe out-landish but to others it is a key component to what they truly believe. Life Eternal is forever and that we will enjoy the blessings of Eternity compared to the short time we have here on earth. If this is so then it could be safe to believe that ” The First Shall Be Last and The Last Shall Be First ” and that God Is A Just God, would answer why some have more than others. If it were not so then God would be an unjust God that shows favor for some and not for others.

We who were born into American families should feel more special than others around the world that are living their lives in hell each and everyday of their existence. If you are one of the unfortunate people born in poverty or have been victimized by tyranny and/or experienced hardship in your life, then there will be a time and place to which you will be blessed forever. This is the blessings of Eternity because God will make it up to you because He is a fair and just God.

What we need to be mindful of is for us not to be envious of what people have and that you blame God for your suffering, when it seems like others have life easy and do not have the problems you do. It just so happens to be that I was one who was angry at God for my suffering. my heart was full of envy for people that had money and opportunities. I was angry to know that I was not blessed with a life of ease and opportunity to achieve wealth and prestige. I constantly compared myself to them and how we were so much different from each other.

Most of my life I worked hard and could not get anywhere by having success. Oh I tried so hard to bring myself out of poverty but I miserably failed. I was too broke to date women, and as a result I did not marry until my later years. This means while others lived out the American dream of having good parents, good job, security by having a bank account along with nice cars and a beautiful home, I fell short of God’s grace for me. I was not blessed to have a white wedding nor was I blessed with children. I was busy breaking the chains of generational dysfunction so I would not complicate matters more by bringing a child in this world that would end up being hurt by the affects of generational dysfunction.

All of us have some sort of ax to grind with God based by what we believe to be un-fairness. However, I was set free when I accepted this Eternal Principle and I was able to know that God Is A Just God because it gave me hope for a better future for my existence as a mortal to immortal being.

If you can bring yourself to the understanding that there is life after this one, then you can believe that you will be Eternally blessed too. It is my hope and prayer that we will hold onto the iron rod that leads us to the Tree Of Life of which the fruit thereof is sweet beyond sweet. May we stay steadfast and endure to the end so that we can partake of the fruits of our labors in this life.

Have a wonderful day and may God bless us with more Divine truths about our existence!

God Is A Just God Part 1

You may be an American, African, Indian, East Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Middle Eastern, or from Latin America; this message is for all people from the four corners of the earth. I have been feeling the need to write this post for quite some time now because it is important for all of us to know the truth about Americans.

I will begin by showing you a video clipping about a book that is considered to be a religious book like how the Bible has its scriptures to Christians and truth seekers alike. I MUST ADD THAT THIS VIDEO IS NOT USED AS A MISSIONARY TOOL TO RECRUIT PEOPLE TO JOIN ANY RELIGION, BUT TO MAKE A POINT ABOUT HOW PEOPLE CAN BE ARROGANT AS WELL AS HOW PEOPLE STRUGGLE IN THEIR DAILY LIVES.

After viewing the video please come back and join me so we can continue with Part 1 of God Is A Just God. It is important to illustrate how some Americans give off an air of arrogance as people that represent American values and the American way of life. Of course not all Americans are this way! There are many good Americans that do donate money to countries that suffer tragedies, and of course we have our social problems as well.

It is about a man named Lehi and his dream concerning his sons and how his sons were at different points in their life. The dream was originally a dream of warning to his sons, of whom he was concerned about their future. Just as some families have rebellious children, Lehi too had sons that were rebellious and prideful. It is also a good illustration of what the ” Tree of Life ” is symbolic to.

God wants to reason with man providing man would seek Him and as a result man would find true happiness and peace within. There is however a problem with the stubbornness and pridefulness of some American people that represents the American people. I am speaking about the prideful people living in the big white house on the hill that would look down on people below. Our god maybe different that the gods of other countries throughout the world but all in all we do worship a “Supreme Being “.

The point to be made is that all of us have to believe in a ” Higher Source “ of some sort. So why is religion such a problem to man, and why can we not live together in peace? Why does there have to be arrogance and violence over religious beliefs and not allowing people the right to believe the way they do. However, we must stand against violence of any kind as well as standing for people that suffer human rights violations and tyranny.

It is this big white house on the hill mindset that people adopt in order to feel superior. There is however, a problem with extremism when it comes to any religion. The fanatical zealot cannot allow anyone to believe how they want to believe. There is in any religion a sect of people that are extreme. You do not have to be branded as an extremist Muslim when there are good people that are Muslims as much as there are extremists in the Mormon, Lutheran, and other religions of faith too. It is this big house on the hill mindset that sets people apart from each other. Is there a matter of concern when it comes to dealing with extremists? Yes, most certainly there is!

I do not claim to have the answers when it comes to extremist behaviors, especially when tied to the Muslim faith that has been perverted for the so called sake of Allayah. It cannot spill over to allow the United States and the individual states to allow human rights violations such as it is in Sharia Law. One could say that the victims of Sharia Law are the people that are holding on to the ” Iron Rod “.

Shall we go into a different direction and cover the aspects of human behavior. We will start with how people believe that Americans have a lot of money. Well, I hate to burst your bubble but, most Americans are living on the edge of going under financially. There are the wealthy and there is also a group that I will label as the ” I want to be rich ” people. They want the things of the world when they cannot afford them.

Irregardless of what people around the world believe about us being wealthy, here is the study they did back in 2009:

Wikipedia Defines Poverty

Poverty in the United States is cyclical in nature with roughly 13 to 17% of Americans living below the federal poverty line at any given point in time, and roughly 40% falling below the poverty line at some point within a 10-year time span. Poverty is defined as the state of one who lacks a usual or socially acceptable amount of money or material possessions.[1] Approximately 43.6 (14.3%) million Americans were living in poverty in 2009, up from 39.8 million (13.2%) in 2008.[2]

The government’s definition of poverty is not tied to an absolute value of how much an individual or family can afford, but is tied to a relative level based on total income received. For example, the poverty level for 2011 was set at $22,350 (total yearly income) for a family of four.[3] Most Americans (58.5%) will spend at least one year below the poverty line at some point between ages 25 and 75.[4] There remains some controversy over whether the official poverty threshold over- or understates poverty.

The most common measure of poverty in the United States is the “poverty threshold” set by the U.S. government. This measure recognizes poverty as a lack of those goods and services commonly taken for granted by members of mainstream society.[5] The official threshold is adjusted for inflation using the consumer price index.

Relative poverty describes how income relates to the median income, and does not imply that the person is lacking anything. In general the United States has some of the highest relative poverty rates among industrialized countries, reflecting both the high median income and high degree of inequality.[6] In terms of pre-transfer absolute poverty rates, in 2000 the United States ranked tenth among sixteen developed countries, though 2000 was a ‘trough’ year and subsequently absolute poverty rates have increased.[7] The US does worse in post-transfer absolute poverty rates.[8] According to a 2008 report released by the Carsey Institute at the University of New Hampshire, on average, rates of poverty are persistently higher in rural and inner city parts of the country as compared to suburban areas.[9][10] The number of people in the U.S. who are in poverty is increasing to record levels with the ranks of working-age poor approaching 1960s levels that led to the national war on poverty.[11]

This is a sobering fact about how much people are living on the edge because living in the United States is very expensive. While I am on the subject of poverty and statistics here is another sobering fact that people should know about the United States.

There are people all over the world that are hungry and are very poor. We have hunger in our country too and it is not that we have favor from God more than any country that suffers. What it means is that when we as United States citizens are poor it hurts more than it does with people from other countries that are used to being poor. We have more of the sting of adversity because we live in a country that costs more than what it does to live in other countries. For instance the average rent is:

Overall median costs: $684 per month

$718/month for homeowners

$651/month for renters

Those living in relatively new buildings (4 years old or less) have a median cost of $1049 per month.

As many of the people around the world envy Americans or should we say hate us for the way we live it is not the necessarily the truth by how we live. If you really want to know the truth about America, we are in debt up to our eyeballs. There is an overwhelming sense of fear that comes over the average American for us to keep from going under. It is very expensive to live in the United States. The point is for whatever it is worth, the hatred and envy of the world is a delusion. It is the blindness of most people around the world that wants to live in the U.S., but there is a huge price to pay and the funny thing about it is that most people do not know what it takes to live here. One could say that it is a long hard fall from grace when we go under because it is not normally the way of life for us to be dirt poor.

There is however, people that are born into wealthy families and they have the DNA business smarts to take advantage of opportunities that most of us are not privileged to. What I mean is the old addage as ” it takes money to make money”. If you do not have money then it is up to a person to be creative by creating an opportunity for themselves. It is hard for someone to come out of poverty because of the mindset that is ingrained in their thought patterns. I know because I have been homeless twice in the last fifteen years.

While people are living in the ” big white house ” on the hill, they have no idea how people down below are suffering. It is like their arrogance blinds them and they do not care much to know either. It is the people that are poverty stricken that are the ones that are holding onto the ” iron rod “. We know that if we let go of the iron rod we will be consumed by life’s adversity and we do not have much of the resources to recover.

It is by using the ” Powers of Attraction” that a person has to have in order to achieve wealth, but it may not be what you believe wealth to be in its entirety. There is a spiritual aspect to wealth because we have to understand what wealth is and how to apply the principles to wealth that will bring us wealth. In other words if we do not respect money, money is a gift that comes from God based by how we treat it. It is pretty much the same with love. Money and love will go play with people that respects it and it will elude those who seek to abuse it either by pridefulness, manipulating people, and/or selfishness by not giving a portion of their substance to serve mankind. It is funny how people seek money never find it!

The better part of being rich is the enriched relationships we have with others. It is the meaning of life and our ability to have enriched the lives by serving others and is NOT necessarily the riches we seek from the world. It is the American way to give to nations that suffer natural disasters or human rights violations. Most Americans that give have an understanding of what it takes to be enriched by what Gods gives us and to use what we get from HIM to be used for building up God’s Kingdom here on earth. Sure there are some people that are wealthy and are closed-fisted about how they spend their money. Unfortunately they do not use it for righteous purposes. This maybe what foreigners see and they believe the most Americans are like the people who they see or read about.

It is strange to think that their money will mean nothing when the American dollar collapses and they will have a very difficult time to find something that will replace the dollar. I guess it is God’s way of filtering out the people that do not use the money for good, and the money that was given to them comes from the Creator of that money. Great shall be their fall when their house that has been built on a sandy foundation shall come crashing down and their life will become meaningless.

In part 2 I will be covering more of the spiritual aspects of wealth so that our readers will be able to understand why we have what we have and why other nations do not have much. When we understand the meaning of things, we are able to understand that there is always two sides to the story. If it were not so, then we would view God as being favorable to a selected few by giving to them and not to us who need it the most.

Things should make sense to you whom seek truth about how loving and giving God really is to man. We will understand when we look at the big picture by bringing in the Eternal prospective of our mortal experience. We will also find out why President Obama and the liberal agenda to redistribute wealth and how it will not work in today’s society.

I hope you will join me in Part 2!

I Love My Country- Do You?

Some of us have real touching stories that makes us out to be “Patriots”. My personal story started back in the summer of 1971. I hope you enjoy my story because it is meaningful to me and I want to encourage you as our readers to send us your story so we can post it on both of our websites.

My father was a business man and he belonged to the YMCA Businessman’s Club. One day my father over heard these men talking about a athlete’s tour to Russia as a prepaid tour. I was not a very good 17-18 year old Christian boy back then because I was the typical teen rebel. I got with the wrong crowd and was doing stuff that upset my family.

My dad got to thinking about sending me on the tour of 18 different countries through the YMCA. He thought that I would do better by being around a better class of kids, that I would do better for myself. Well kids will be kids and the amount of money did not mean a darn thing.

Around the 4th of July 1971, twenty-two of us junior athletes were going through Check Point Charlie at the border of East Berlin and West Berlin. We were flying out of East Berlin in route to Moscow. We were cordially greeted at the airport in Moscow by a few men as one of them being our interpreter.

After leaving Moscow we went by bus down to a place down in the Crimean Sea called Simferopol. We had our own private floor in the beach hotel, which was a beautiful sight to see at sun down. This is just around the bend from Yalta where at the Yalta Conference where Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt, and Joseph Stalin met at the Yalta Conference, 1945. They met in Yalta in the Crimea to plan the final defeat and occupation of Nazi Germany.

The events that took place in Simferopol were like being in the Olympics. We had events such as swimming, basketball, track, and shot put. On our team we had 11 boys and 11 girls. We got a lot of attention because our team was so small. I guess it did not help with us just being Americans. The teams that entered the competition were teams from Czechoslovakia, Russian, Yugoslavian, Polish, and German teams, and of course we were the only Capitalist country there. At least they called us Capitalists.

The night after the event was awards night, and of course we got our awards for placing first in a couple of events. ath Tears were flowing down my face and I was all choked up with gratitude. I was so proud to represent the United States of America as an athlete as well as a proud Patriot. The Russian organizers surprised us with a commemorative celebration for the 4th of July with fireworks, and the song I believe was America The Beautiful. It was if I could not control the tears of joy.

Also to our surprise too, was that the Russian organizers decided to go off program. They wanted to have a special event so that each country could have two speakers from each country speak about their country. Was this a good idea or not? We agreed to the agenda and as it turned out it was not a good idea. Our interpreter was not interpreting accurately and we were put into a bad political situation.

Little did us athletes know that our tour guides John and Eleanor Thune was taken captive and were harshly interrogated by the KGB. After we left the Soviet Union and on our way to Greece we were briefed on how to deal with the media frenzy. The news got out and we were in the European and the American papers. We were greeted by a whole barrage of media at the airport when we landed in Athens. They thought we were spies and I did not know this at the time in that I may have complicated matters more when I met and fell in love with a sweet little Russian cutie, her name was Svetlana, I called her Sam. She was some kind of a diplomat from what she told me. She did a lot of the interpreting when talking to people from other countries.

I believe they thought that we were part of some kind of spy ring and thought we were passing secrets back and forth. I kept a detailed image of her in my mind for several years after that and have always wondered if she was still alive or not.

I guess it was the KGB who broke into our rooms and confiscated our cameras and all of our literature. It was Lenin’s 100 year anniversary and so we were blessed to view Lenin in his tomb on Red Square. There was quite a celebration going on with the anniversary of Lenin’s death. I had quite a few books on Lenin because I was interested to know who he was and how bad he was as a dictator. Before we left for Kiev we had dinner in the dinning hall and after eating some of the athletes reported being very sick. The athletes that ate the chicken and rice ended up being food poisoned.

We left in the middle of the night which was much earlier than planned. I ran over to Svetlana’s hotel to let her know we were leaving. There were a lot of men in suits hanging around, so I went outside and threw rocks up to her window. She did not reply. As a matter of fact that was the last time I saw or heard from Svetlana. I believe the KGB may have done something bad to her because they could have thought that we were passing secrets back and forth, which is whacked out thinking. Our tour guides did not want us to worry and we did not know what they experienced until we left and were on our way to Athens, Greece.

As things turned I left the Soviet Union with a broken heart because I never heard from her when we got to Kiev and Leningrad. We were in route to Athens and were continuing on with our tour when I felt that things were not right with me because I was wondering if Sam was still alive or not.

The tour was bitter sweet to me and the memories I have of our tour has last me a lifetime and I will never forget that awesome 4th of July night down in the beautiful ambiance of the beaches in Simferopol down in the Crimean Sea. When we have moments like these it is hard to forget how one felt on an occasion such as this was. I proudly served my country in the Army soon after I got home from the tour. I served from September 1971 to September 1974 and I am a proud Patriot that has A LOVE FOR MY COUNTRY!

May God Bless America and may we all rebuke evil things in the world
